Our Story
Rebirth Movement was born out of a deep conviction that every person, regardless of their circumstances, deserves dignity, hope, and the opportunity for transformation. Founded in the heart of Kilifi County, we witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of poverty, unemployment, drug abuse, illness, and social neglect on families and communities.
Kilifi County, like many regions in coastal Kenya, faces unique challenges. High unemployment rates, limited access to quality healthcare and education, and the growing crisis of substance abuse among youth have created a cycle of poverty that traps generations. We saw families struggling to put food on the table, children unable to attend school, young people losing hope and turning to drugs, and the elderly abandoned without care.
But we also saw something else: the incredible resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of Christ's love expressed through compassionate action. Rebirth Movement emerged as a response to this dual reality—a Christian initiative committed to addressing both the immediate material needs and the deeper spiritual and emotional wounds of our community.
Today, we serve hundreds of families through comprehensive programs that provide emergency relief, support education, offer health services, facilitate addiction rehabilitation, and empower individuals with skills for sustainable livelihoods. Every program is rooted in our faith and designed to restore not just physical wellbeing, but also hope, dignity, and purpose.

The Challenge We Face
Poverty & Unemployment
High rates of joblessness leave families unable to meet basic needs, creating cycles of poverty that span generations.
